My love language is quality time, definitely not gift giving. I'm learning to be a thoughtful gift giver, but it's tough sometimes! Being an essential oil distributor gives me an interesting perspective on gift giving, though, and I think it is making me a better and more creative gift giver and donation maker. I recently had the opportunity to give to an auction to benefit a local family who needs some extra support after an unexpected health crisis. I thought I would gift a cute basket of oils and be done with it. Then there was no basket I liked, And just a few oils seemed like a very tiny gift, which may not draw the biggest bid. And on and on... Then I had a light bulb moment! The three oils were all citrus oils and would be delicious in water. So I packaged them up in some darling cellophane and , complete with some recommended usage cards that I whipped up (just in case this gift goes to someone who has never heard of essential oils). I topped it off with some all natural instant , and a cute bundle of oily cards, and off goes one of my favorite gifts I have ever given. I just hope the person who bids on it loves it as much as I do! Giving a gift with the other person's wants in mind, without knowing who it's going to can be hard to figure out! I feel like this gift fills a need for someone I may not even know, which has been really fun!
Thanks for reading and happy gift giving!
